1. Laura Baugh, 17, the youngest member of the 1972 American Curtis Cup Team. The US won the competition at Western Gailes by 10 points to 8.

2. The Scottish Amateur Championship has been played 7 times at Western Gailes. Ronnie Shade on his way to victory at Western in 1966, the middle of a run of 5 consecutive victories in the Championship.

3. Jack McLean won his third consecutive Scottish Amateur Championship at Western in 1934.

4 & 5 Billy Jack, a Western Gailes member, with a course record 66, takes the lead in the 1964 Professional Golfers Association Championship at Western Gailes.

6. Belle Robertson, the only Scottish member of the 1972 GB & Ireland Curtis Cup Team holing out at Western.
